Throat Cancer - Essiac Tea Video Testimonial from Ed Brooks
Good morning, my name is Ed Brooks. I'm from Ypsilanti, Michigan and I wanted to share a little bit about my throat cancer experience. I was diagnosed with throat cancer, I believe it was August of 21. And I was familiar with Essiac tea.
I had introduced that to a few of my friends years ago who was suffering with some cancer and I think they took some. I got it from a local distributor and, you know, I think it helped them. I don't really know what happened. But I decided I wanted to - instead of fighting my cancer with the normal procedures of chemo, and radiation and all that stuff, I decided that I would allow a surgeon to remove the cancer and I would combat it with Essiac tea.
I know it's not a healing agent but it definitely helped me survive cancer. So anyway, I had the surgery. And, you know, I had discussed Essiac tea with my team. I had a surgeon, I had a chemo doctor, I had a radiation doctor and then I also had a nurse that was coordinating everything.
And she knew of Essiac because her Dad had used it. But the other doctors, they weren't too impressed, you know, with the thought of Essiac tea versus their way of dealing with cancer. However, I went ahead and opted for surgery and after the surgery I was gonna start a chemo and a radiation process although I wasn't excited about that. So I had the surgery.
It was about a month after my diagnosis which was a rather quick process I think. Anyway, the surgeon removed the throat tumor by laser and then he went into my neck by standard scalpel type surgery and removed two lymph nodes. And prior to the surgery he said that I would have to have 28 lymph nodes removed. But for a month and a half prior to surgery I was drinking Essiac tea.
I drank about 12 ounces every day. I did it religiously because I knew a natural substance had to be good for me. Not only did it help me in the cancer arena, it also helped me lose some weight because of the diet type change that happens when you drink the tea. You know, I'm not gonna say that it tastes awesome but it wasn't so bad you couldn't drink it.
So anyway, the surgeon said he removed every bit of the cancer and so I had to go back to my chemo doctor to figure out a plan to start chemo and he said that my numbers were not high enough to rate the chemo after the surgery was done. Great. He said, "But you should still get the radiation." Well, I talked to the radiation doctor and then I talked back to my surgeon and I says, well if I get radiation what benefit is that to me because that's a pretty severe attack on your body.
And anyway, the surgeon says, well if you get the radiation it helps you not get the cancer back. And I said, okay, well how does that help me? He says, well, it gives you about a 10% better chance of not having the cancer return. I said, well you got all the cancer, you removed it completely right?
And he says, yes I did. I said well then I'll pass on the radiation. 'Cause I continued drinking Essiac tea for, it was about a year total that I drank it religiously every day. I reduced from the 12 ounces at the beginning down to nine ounces and then I leveled off to six ounces for the last maybe three or four months.
And the reason I stopped is I moved from Michigan to Florida living on a boat in Florida and I just wasn't able to prepare it and store it the way I had done it. And I was feeling rather well, so. And now we're like going on two years later and I'm still cancer free. I'm still feeling great.
So I believe the genuine Essiac tea was a very strong help to me. I still drink it occasionally. It had some other benefits and I enjoyed the benefits, the weight loss. It kind of helped my dietary system get regulated.
You know, I was using the bathroom a lot better and all these other things that you know, was benefits of drinking this tea. Well I thank you and I appreciate your time and I hope this little testimony will benefit you in thinking that this is the way to go. You know, it don't hurt to try anything when you're told you have cancer which is a very serious diagnosis. And, you know, I'm just glad to be here and glad to have the opportunity to share with you.
And I thank you very much. Signing off.
