Get Started Quick Essiac Cheat Sheet: What You Need to Know

• 4 oz./113 grams of herbs makes 1 gallon of tea. This is a measure of  weight, so use a kitchen scale, not a measuring cup.
• You must take Essiac on an empty stomach - that means no food 2  hours before taking Essiac and 1 hour after taking Essiac.  
• Take 3 oz. 3 x per day to improve health. Take 6 oz. 3 x per day for  extra strength, which is most commonly used by those on chemo or  radiation. In that case, start with 3 oz. for the first week and build up.  
• Boil the herbs for 10 minutes, then leave the tea out on the stovetop  with heat off for at least 12 hours. After that, store in the refrigerator  in any container you would normally use for iced tea.  
• Do not strain the herbs and always consume the tea cold. Stir the  container vigorously with a large spoon before pouring each serving.  The goal is to drink some of the herbs within each serving.  
• Take it for at least 6 months in a row before expecting a change – it  takes time and that’s the length of time research shows is needed.  
• As much water, stevia and natural fruit or vegetable juice can be  added to change taste and texture. You may take black coffee and tea  (or with stevia) during the empty stomach time.  
• Essiac is compatible with all prescription medications, supplements,  treatments and protocols. You can take medications or supplements
