A common question we get is: can a woman take essiac tea who is pregnant, or who is trying to conceive? On a related note, can a woman take essiac while nursing?
Rene Caisse, the Canadian nurse who performed the most research on essiac tea alongside Dr. Charles Brusch at the Brusch Medical Research Center, was adament that it's 100% fine for women to take essiac while pregnant. It's also 100% fine for women who are trying to conceive. In terms of breastfeeding, again it is 100% fine to take essiac while doing so.
Rene Caisse and Dr. Brusch's research is documented in the book "The Essiac Report" by Richard Thomas. Since the time that her research was completed from 1959 through 1967 at the Brusch Medical Research Center, we have worked with thousands of mothers and our observations have confirmed Rene Caisse's findings and beliefs - that taking essiac tea while trying to conceive, while pregnant, or while breastfeeding are all OK. We have yet to hear one issue that developed from any of these things. In addition, essiac can be given to children if need be. Read more about giving essiac to children here.
I hope that information helps!
