Once the order was received I was pretty excited then I opened the package and was shocked to find the tea had been shipped in PLASTIC! bags, I stay away from micro plastics as much as possible. I was actually shocked and dismayed because I couldn't get myself to drink what seemed an amazing tea many folks had great things to say about the healing properties.. Then its shipped in plastic bags lost all desire..

Our tea is packaged in food-grade polyethylene bags specifically because they provide the safest barrier against moisture, oxygen, and contamination during storage and shipping. Herbs are highly sensitive to humidity and environmental exposure, and without a protective barrier they can degrade quickly or become compromised.
The material we use is the same type commonly used for food storage and is considered stable and non-reactive. It is chosen not for convenience, but to protect the freshness and integrity of the herbs. You will notice many of your healthy foods and supplements are packaged similarly.

I have used your essiac for some time and enjoy it and the benefits but this last pound is extremely sour or bitter. Hope the next one is better.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with our last batch. It's normal for Essiac tea batches to vary in taste, color and texture. The product is minimally processed and contains no additives or preservatives. Because of that, you are getting natural herbs that are never going to behave the exact same way from batch to batch. You might have 2 years of the batches seeming very similar, but then a batch that seems quite different.
You also could get different experiences from various bags in the same order. It all has to do with the factors that go into the growth of each herb that is part of the blend.
We recommend adding as much unsweetened fruit or vegetable juice, lemon juice or stevia to your Essiac to help out if you are finding the product to be too bitter.

Please keep in mind that the goal of it isn't taste, it's results, and most customers get used to it after a few days, especially with the added sweetener.
Please hang in there, I promise that it gets better, and the benefits will be well worth any struggle in the beginning. You will be able to join the many others who thought it was too bitter but were able to overcome that with a little bit of patience.

I have been using Genuine Essiac for a number of years and blessed others with the tea. I have a dear pastor friend who was dealing with enlarged prostate. He phoned me as the doctor inserted a catheter and he was still in pain. I drove a bag of tea to his office. His wife prepared it as instructed.After three weeks of use he phoned to say swelling was gone. Dr. asked him what he was doing because the prostate returned to normal size. I started taking Essiac Tea about a month ago. I wanted to start taking it as a preventative and my lymphatic system was sluggish and after researching natural solutions, many of the ingredients in Essiac Tea were listed for stagnant lymphatic. I take 4 oz daily and so far have seen positive results.

I find it humorous that so many people complain about the taste, it’s not peppermint tea folks and I don’t think anyone is drinking it for pleasure! The results are what we’re after so I just hold my nose and swallow 6 Oz in 4 or 5 gulps and then take a swig of clear organic apple juice to hide the taste, easy peasy 3x day on an empty stomach:) I’m taking it preventatively and it definitely helps with digestion and I believe much more, so I have no complaints!
