Video: Understanding the Role of Powdered Herbs in Essiac Tea
Have you ever wondered why Genuine Essiac tea is made with powdered herbs? I'll explain. Like most things in life that are powdered, the powdered option is going to be absorbed a lot better. If you think about a Kool Aid packet, it's not gonna come in a big chunk. It's gonna come in a ground powder because that's what's going to allow that Kool Aid to mix up really well into the water. It's the same for your Essiac tea. When you boil a powdered herb, you're going to get a lot more of those valuable plant compounds extracted into the brew.
When Rene Caisse and Dr. Charles Brusch studied Essiac tea at the Brusch Medical Research Center from the years of 1959 through 1967 they were able to determine that the powdered blends worked better. And for that reason, it's the same formula that Genuine Essiac uses to this day.
With the powdered herbs, you're also gonna get another really valuable option. You're gonna be able to leave the powdered Essiac herbs into your tea. So what I mean by that is you're gonna make your Essiac, and you're gonna get a big pitcher. And then what you're gonna do is you're gonna be able to stir that pitcher before you pour each serving.
When you drink your serving, you're gonna be able to consume some of those herbs within each and every drink. So when you are able to do that, you're going to get some really valuable compounds, including some dietary fiber, which is something that you wouldn't be able to do if your herbs were whole. So for those reasons, you always want to choose a brand of Essiac tea that is made with powdered herbs.
