Last year, after hearing rave reviews on Essiac, I finally gave it a go. I don’t have cancer, I was just genuinely curious about this detox tea. So I bought a 1 lb bag that I took religiously three times a day on an empty stomach.

First of all, the bag lasted only 6 weeks instead of the 2/3 months publicized, but besides that, my experience was fantastic. I suffer from adult acne and during the time I was taking the tea, Hell, I never looked better. I was completely amazed to see such dramatic results in little more than a month’s time. The whole time I was thinking to myself, if Essiac is doing so much “outside” just imagine what it’s doing to my “inside” !!

A 1 lb bag last 2 months at the improvement of health level of 3 oz three times per day and it last 1 month at the aggressive level of 6 oz three times per day. So, depending on the number of ounces per serving you take, the bag will last.

My last batch was bitter but I did cook it too hot and it boiled over. Next batch from same sack was fine again.

The taste of Essiac tea can get more bitter in wetter growing seasons—and that’s completely normal. Herbs naturally vary from harvest to harvest depending on climate conditions, not just the ones in Essiac. Because this is a minimally processed tea with no additives or preservatives, some variation in taste from batch to batch is expected.
That change in taste doesn’t impact the quality of your tea—it just means this batch is a bit more bitter.

If your tea boiled over, cooking at a gentle heat can make a big difference. Once the water has boiled, reduce the heat to medium heat, and once the water has settle down add the herbs.

Great Essiac Tea!
