The Fascinating Story of How Essiac Tea Came to Be
This is Rene Caisse. She's a nurse that in 1922 was doing her rounds. She noticed a lesion on one of her customer's breasts. She asked what it was.
Turns out, back in those days, you would not only do conventional treatments, this was in Canada, but they worked alongside, you know, native Americans. And so she went to an Ojibwe Indian medicine man after conventional treatments had failed with her breast cancer.
And she discovered that this woman, that lesion was a byproduct of something that had healed from breast cancer. So she wrote down the four herbs at the time.
We now have eight herbs, but there were four herbs, put it in a drawer, and completely left it there for two years until until her aunt developed, you know, breast cancer, and it was advanced, and she desperately needed to treat her aunt.
So again, Ojibwe Indians, people like to think, okay, very primitive culture. No.
This is millennia of people trying different herbal mixtures, refining, and getting this right. This is not to be dismissed.
There were four herbs. She gave this four herb formula to her aunt. To her surprise, her aunt went into remission, lived 17 years cancer free.
That led to a clinic in Bracebridge, Ontario, where she treated people for many decades.
And the byproduct of that was there were so many people getting well that they petitioned the Canadian government to have it, you know, voted on as a means of treatment. It failed by 3 votes, which was a stroke of bad luck at the time, but it turned out to to be in the long run the best thing that could have happened. Because now, she had nowhere to go. So
what we have now is the next phase. This is Dr. Charles Brusch. You'll notice him with president Kennedy. He's a local person who lived near us, who ran a research center that focused on herbal mixtures for cancer, had a team of eighteen physicians.
So after Rene Caisse could not distribute the Essiac anymore in Canada, she was invited to his research center. And this was, as I said, Dr. Brusch was president Kennedy's physician prior to and during the the White House years, and he was no fringe quack. He was highly regarded.
And what he did was started research on the original four herb formula by initially taking the four ingredients, breaking down safety levels that could be used so all of these herbs could be used safely.
Then the efficacy of each individual herb to see what it did. And then what they said is, hey, you know what? This stuff works pretty well.
They kept it intact. They kept the four herb formula intact, but what they decided to do was there was room for improvement. And that's when they took this four herb formula and started trials on various potentiators or herbs that had the potential to improve the formula. They would run a trial.
They would see if the herb worked to any degree or had any benefit. Those that didn't were cast aside. Those that did were included. They kept including, mixing, adding, mixing, tweaking, finding optimal safe amounts and effective amounts for the formula.
So now you have the four original herbs kept intact, added to over the course of eight years with the research of eighteen physicians.
And this is all something that you'll see documented in a book called the Essiac report. Okay? This is well, I'll show you our website later on. You can search this in the magnifying glass. You'll get the magnif- the magnifying glass put in the Essiac report. You'll see the quote at the bottom is from Dr. Brusch.
He is covered. And for those that don't realize that Essiac is unregulated, you could be taken advantage of if you don't read this because this is the full documentation, the history, the pictures, the documents, clearly establish the lineage from Dr. Brusch back to Rene Caisse and the development of this formula. So now, by 1967, it has eight herbs.
And you'll see this is Dr. Brusch working alongside Reen Case. He's on the left. She's in the center.
And these are unmistakable. These are undeniable. What you'll have though as an unregulated industry is knock offs because this is not regulated. So you have to be careful where you go to.
If you go to our website, which I'll show you later, you'll see proof of authentication. This is the letter from Dr. Brusch to our family. This is the letter from Rene Caisse to Dr. Brusch passing on the formula under the conditions that another company do the research going forward, which they didn't. By default, Dr. Brusch got the formula.
I learned from Dr. Brusch after working with him for seven years.
